Here are two companies offering liability insurance for doulas. There may be more options in your area and we are not recommending either of these. Just sharing the resources.

You’ll need to visit your state’s Secretary of State website to set up your LLC, DBA, etc. Beware predatory 3rd parties who charge a lot to set up your EIN and business registration in your state. Only use the IRS site below to set up your EIN.

Resources for Equity and Racism in Birth

We have only just begun this discussion. Maybe you want to explore it some more? It’s important the conversation continue in all aspects of our lives, but especially in our field as birth workers. The conversation must continue with curiosity, vulnerability, willingness to be uncomfortable, and a desire to grow.

As white allies we need to hear, learn from, and amplify the voices of Black, Indigenous and People of Color. The resources below are resources for continued learning from these voices. This is in no way an exhaustive list.
