Scholarships for Queer Birth Workers

Everybody has babies - not every person, but every group of people. However, finding support can be more difficult for some groups of people, and that often includes queer (LGBTQI) families.

We know doulas are world changers, and doulas can help improve birth for all birthing people. We also know that queer doulas are underrepresented in the doula workforce and queer parents may face additional risks while pregnant, birthing and postpartum.

A portion of every registration goes to support BEST’s scholarships for under represented communities in birth work, part of our effort to improve our country’s maternal mortality crisis and support the most vulnerable populations while pregnant, birthing, and postpartum.
